Maui ' not wasted’
PA Wellington The Ministry of Energyhad no reason to think that Maui gas was being flared off unnecessarily, the Minister of Energy (Mr Birch) told Parliament yesterday. He was answering a
question by Mr F. MacD. Colman (Lab.; Pencarrow), who wanted to know why the amount of gas flared off was confidential. Mr Colman had also asked Mr Birch if he was concerned about “the amount of fuel wasted.”
