Replacing rain system
One important part of our homes which we tend to take for granted is the rainwater collection or spouting system. Over the years it gathers a general mixture of fine soil or dirt, leaves, soot from nearby chimneys and similar debris. The result is that an acid bearing mixture builds up on what, in the past, has generally been a galvanised iron surface with eventual deterioration and leakage. With the availability of vinyl rainwater systems, such as the Marley Classic, the leaky old spouting can be easily, economically and permanently replaced by the home .owner following a simple set of instructions which even include a planning system to fit your house. The permanent white finish requires no soldering, no subsequent painting and merely an occasional hose out purely to keep the system clear and functioning freely.* The component range consists of a wide selection of parts including guttering sections, external and internal comers, expansion outlets, stop ends, dropper outlets, downpipes, fascia brackets — in fact, all you
could need to suit any size .or shape of roof. A special solvingwelding adhesive is supplied with the kit and full instructions for its use are included.
This Saturday, you will see a demonstration of installing the Marley Classic System, by Ashby Bergh and Co., Ltd, at the Building Centre’s “How It’s Done” day.
