Jail-killing arrest
PA Auckland A man, aged 22, will appear in the Magistrate’s Court at North Shore today on a charge of the murder of Keith Ross Hall. Hall, a convicted murderer, was found sprawled in a pool of blood in the recreation room of Paremoremo Prison’s A block on Monday.
Hall, who had been serving a life term after convictions for raping and murdering a girl, aged 10, died a few minutes later in the prison hospital from a stab wound to the throat. Detectives arrested an inmate of A block at 5.15 p.m. yesterday and charged him with murder.
