League man suspended
Kaiapoi’s premier rugby league team will be without one of its most versatile players, Jack Clarke, for the next three rounds of the Canterbury premiership. Clarke has been suspended for three matches by the code’s board of control after being sent from the field by the referee (Mr J. Baughan) during last Saturday’s game I against Addington. He was charged with kicking.
