Gas for many Auck. cars?

PA Auckland More than a quarter of Auckland’s 330,000 motor-ve-hicles could soon be running on compressed natural gas, says Mr A. G. Wilson, chairman of the Auckland Gas Company. The company thinks there could be 25 private C.N.G. filling stations in Auckland serving 2000 fleet vehicles very soon. Later more and more public filling stations should be built.

Mr Wilson says it should be practicable to convert about 80,000 vehicles to C.N.G. in greater Auckland.
