Prize for butcher
A butcher’s apprentice, Mr Paul Widdowson, aged 19. of Amberley, has won the 1979 Apprentice of the Year Award, presented by the retail butchery trade. Mr Widdowson was selected for the award after competing in a national competition in both theoretical and practical skills. i He has now completed his [four-year apprenticeship and j works for McNeil Bros, Ltd, iat Rangiora.
