P.D.L. to meet today
Workers at P.D.L. Industries who went on strike a week ago may return to [work this morning. I About 185 workers at the [company’s Hazeldeane Road [plant took the action in protest against the dismissal of a union delegate. The Minister of Labour (Mr Bolger) ordered a compulsory conference between the management and the Canterbury branch of the Engineers’ Union to be headed by an industrial conciliator (Mr L. Fortune). Mr Fortune ordered that normal! [work resume today. I The striking workers will I meet this morning to discuss the situation.
