OPEN LEITER TO THE CHRISTCHURCH CITY COUNCIL — We, the undersigned members of the Christchurch Medical, Dental and Scientific Communities, urge the Council to implement the Fluoridation of the Municipal Water Supply at a level of 1 part per million as a proven, safe and effective Community Public Health measure in the reduction of dental decay. We are concerned that although 70% of New Zealanders on reticulated water supply have optimum levels of Fluoridation, the citizens of Christchurch are deprived of this benefit. W. J.
