FIRMER N.Z. MARKET
Rises outnumbered falls by almost four to one on a firmer, moderately active New Zealand sharemarket yesterday. The demand for gas shares continued with Welgas gaining 28c to 430 c. N.Z. Forest Products regained 2c to 335 c, helped by the publication of its annual report on Wednesday, while other market leaders also made up for lost ground from earlier in the week. Bunting eased 2c from the 80c offer price proposed by Scott Group.
