Unemployment figure steady
PA Wellington The number of people employed under special work' programmes or unemployed: at the end of June remained i about 50,000. The Minister of Labour (Mr Bolger) said yesterday that 24,953 people were employed under the Government’s job-creation programmes at the end of June, a decrease of 32 on the previous fortnight. Last week Mr Bolger gave figures showing 25,363 jobless at the end of June, up;
11290 on the number registered ■ lon June 15. The combined totals give [ 50,316 either on special work I. schemes or unemployed.
