PA Wellington The police want to talk to a male European hitchhiker seen about the time that a Lower Hutt man was battered to death last week. 8 p.m., trying to hitch a ride southwards to Petone. The man might be able to help police with their inquiries, he said. A police team of 57 working on the inquiry turned up a bonus yesterday when they arrested the thief of a Holden car, CU7575.
