Public Notices CHRISTCHURCH CITY COUNCIL SPEAKERS’ CORNER - TEMPORARY CLOSURE PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that between 1.30 p.m. and 3.30 p.m. on Thursday, July 12, 1979, the area known as Speakers’ Corner in Cathedral Square will not be available for public speaking. During the period referred to, the area has been made available to the New Zealand Army and, as a consequence, the general permission for public speaking in Cathedral Square given under the provision of Bylaw No. 1, Clause 414, is hereby withdrawn for the period stated.
WEATHER permitting, electricity supply will be off in the Halswell area on Thursday, Jujy 12, 1979, as follows: to enable work to be carried out on the 11,009 volt overhead lines. 9 a.m. to 9.30 a.m. and 3 pan. to 3.30 p.m.: Dunbars Rd and adjacent roads. Ensign St from Rosamund Pl to Dunbars Rd, Cunningham Pl, Cobra St, Hindess St and adjacent streets and Wigram Rd in the vicinity of Dunbars Rd.
