Fluoridation issue

PA Wellington The Medical Association’s council has been asked to support the principle of fluoridation of water supplies. The move results from a recent referendum held at Rotorua, in which fluoridation was defeated by 5000 votes to 2000. The Rotorua-Taupo division of the Medical Association, which has publicly supported fluoridation, has now asked the association’s council to make a- policy statement. A remit will be considered at the council’s quarterly meeting to be held on August 1.
