I’ll be back: Tarnier

NZPA Landon Roscoe Tanner, the costar in yesterday’s historic Wimbledon final against Bjorn Borg flew out of Heathrow by Concorde last evening, and vowed: “I’ll be back.” Tanner looked bright and cheerful after his gruelling battle in which he made Borg work right up to the last point for the title. Asked how he was feeling, Tanner said: “I feel just fine. I don’t really want to talk about it at the moment. As you can imagine I am feeling pretty tired.” Asked about the future he said: “Don’t worry. I’ll be back next year for another go. You can rely on that.”
