SPECIAL NOTICE TO INTENDING INTERNATIONAL AIR TRAVELLERS International air tickets issued before June 22nd for travel from July Ist are now liable to tax changes. Some travellers will get refunds. Some will pay a little more. It is essential that you check now with your Travel Agent or Airline and have your tickets adjusted and endorsed before reaching the airport. These charges now apply: 1) INTERNATIONAL DEPARTURE TAX of $25 (All passengers 12 years or older. Under 12 years is $5. Under 2— exempt). 2) AIRPORT DEVELOPMENT TAX of $2 (No. change in law or costs). $27 Accordingly, international air tickets issued before June 22nd for travel on or after July Ist should be returned to the office of issue for adjustment. Failure to do so could result in a delay of the applicable refund or where additional payment is involved non-acceptance of the ticket for travel. No refunds can be made at the airport. If it is not possible to return your ticket to the office that issued the ticket, take it to your nearest Travel Agent or Airline office.
