Petrol curbs
Four petrol-short American states have announced semi-rationing measures in an effort to reduce queues outside filling stations. Massachusetts, Connecticut, parts of New York and New jersey have.begun the “oddever” 'plan pioneered last month by California. Under the “odd-even” rationing plan, already in force also in Washington D.C., drivers with . odd-numbered licence plates can buy petrol ,on : odd-numbered days of the month and those with evennumbered plates on evennumbered days. — New York.
