Netball record retained
NZPA Adelaide The New Zealand under-21 netball team remains undefeated after a thrilling onepoint win over South Australia at Adelaide’s Apollo Stadium on Wednesday evening. Brilliant team work by both teams saw the lead seesaw throughout the night with scores remaining close all the way. At half-time the score was 22-21 in New Zealand’s
favour, and at three-quarter time the scores were locked 29-all. By the third minute of the last quarter New Zealand was four points ahead, but South Australia fought back with the three-thousand-plus crowd urging it on. The final minutes were tense as South Australia would draw level then New Zealand take a point lead,, but the visitors were able to hctldon to win 41-40.
