Peach funeral soon
PA Napier ■ Five members of the I Peach family will be in Lon[don early this month for the i funeral of Mr Blair Peach, a [former Napier teacher who idled in political rioting in !. ondon in April. An estimated 5000 mourners are expected to march ii silence to the burial on June 13 at Wanstead Cemetery in East London. Mr Peach’s brother, a Napier lawyer, Mr Roy Peach, who went to London two weeks ago, said that a wide variety of groups had expressed interest in taking part in the funeral. The funeral procession will start at the Phoenix
School, for Delicate Children, where Mr Blair Peach was head of remedial reading. The procession will follow a skm route to Wanstead Cemetery. Mr Roy Peach has been joined in London by his wife, Mrs Priscilla Peach. Another brother, Mr Phillip Peach, of Pakowhai, will accompany his mother, Mrs J. Peach, of Napier, and an aunt, Mrs B. Hardy, of Dunedin, to London on June 8.
