Alarm bells unattended One of the problem* facing, the property owner is the, public's reluctance to take 1 the necessary action when, hearing an alarm bell ring.' The clever burglar know* this' so the bell is becoming less effective either as a 1 deterrent or as a means of j detecting break-ins. The,’ public cannot be blamed for' this. Most commercial premises are being located in areas remote from residential' districts and where there ore few passers-by. Should a passer-by hear the bell in the eorly hours of the. morning he seldom take* action os he is more keen toget home to bed than he it in possibly becoming involved’ with either the burglar or the police. To solvo this problem the Burglar Alarm Monitoring Division of Answer Service* (N.Z.) Limited operate* Answercan — silent alarm monitoring which does away l with bells and siren* and invariably result* in the intruder* being apprehended by the police. Phone 795-820.
