Women’s Council
The inaugural meeting of the Christchurch branch of the Working Women’s Council will be held on June 11 at the Trade Union Centre. The small but growing membership includes women who work at home. The purpose of the council will be to bring them up to date with matters concerning the trade-union movement, and to promote active participation by women in trade unions.
