The Department requires a Photogrammetric Plotting Instrument Operator to undertake mapping from aerial photography. Previous experience in this work is not essential. The successful candidate will be trained within the department. Good evesight is a necessary require ment for appointment to the post but the correction of ~ minor sight defects by spectacles is acceptable. Ability in photographic processing, computing or surveying field work is desirable but also not essential. Minimum educational qualifications for appointment to the opst of Technical Trainee is School Certificate in English, mathematics and one other subject. For appointment to the post of Technician an Intermediate Certificate in Draughting. Surveying, or other allied field, and/or appropriate experience will be a recommendation.
