Woman Mayor
PA Auckland The only woman Mayor in New Zealand was elected .on Saturday in the Auckland suburb of Northcote. Mrs Jean Sampson polled 1300 votes — 777 more than her rival, Mr Wilf Marley. More than 400 special votes still have to be counted and the total will be confirmed tomorrow.
