No win for tourists

The Canterbury under-15 soccer team gave the visiting Australian side, South Tablelands, no chance of ending its eight-match tour on a winning note yesterday in the curtain-raiser at Queen Elizabeth II Park. Canterbury took about 20min to settle down and then ran riot for a whopping 7-1 win. Alan Munro scored three goals and the others were contributed by Andrew Rudledge (2), and Adam Riley, with one own goal. David Johnson scored for the Australians. The half-time score was 3-1.
