THE POSITION: The successful applicant will be responsible for the operation and administration of the Counoil’s Parks and Recreation Department. This department controls the Botanic Gardens, Queen Elizabeth II Stadium and swimming pools, Municipal Nursery, sports stadiums and parks throughout the city as well as an on-going recreation programme. The total staff numbers some 250 persons. THE APPOINTEE: The successful applicant should have had considerable management experience at a senior level and proven ability, preferably in the field of Parks i and Recreation administration. THE BENEFITS: The salary will be in Group B of the Council’s Standard Salarv Scale which is $18,742. $19,111, $20,300/$21,604, $22,756 per annum. The salaries quoted include the General Wage Order of $365 per annum. The commencing point on this scale will be commensurate with the qualifications and experience of the applicant.
