Appeal for Uganda
World Vision in New Zealand has launched a “Rebuild Uganda” appeal and has made an initial contribution of $25,000. World Vision’s aid will be channelled through the Kenyan-based organisations, African Enterprise and R.E.T.U.R.N., headed by the previously exiled Bishop Festo Kivengere. World Vision International has a total budget for relief and rehabilitation work in Uganda of $325,000. The first priority will be food, medicines, and blankets. The second will be the rehabilitation of agriculture and the rebuilding of thousands of homes.
