had tried to buy petrol on Good Friday, but the num)ber of requests to the police [had been smaller than at [several normal week-ends, said a police spokesman. The police issued three permits on Friday, seven on Sunday and four yesterdav. Only four applications for permits were received yesterday. Most of the exemptions, were granted for medical reasons, said a police spokesman. Petrol was available from 6 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturday. Sales started again today at 6 a.m.
