Trawler blockade?
PA WhangareWhangarei fishermen will announce today whether they will blockade Whangarei Harbour as part of a national protest against the Government's policy on overseas vessels fishing inside New Zealand waters. The fishermen assert that the Government has
ignored reports from southern fishermen that foreign fishing vessels have been working inside the 19km limit.
if the blockade goes ahead. Whangarei fishermen will trawl en masse in familiar fishing grounds within Whangarei Harbour limits to block shipping movements.
