She was commenting on a report that the unveiling of] the posters in Sydney this,: week had brought protests: from the Unity Church and the Festival of Light. Miss Bartlett said it was an insult to New Zealanders] that the Australian State' Tourist Bureau considered, sex and gambling-orientated] posters would bring New Zealand tourists rushing to 1 New South Wales.
“It is common knowledge] that poker machines areL contributing to Australia’s!' social ills, while the posters * belittling womanhood are, unworthy of a government! tourist bureau," she said. ]
