Six clubs get liquor licence
Six Canterbury sports clubs have been granted general ancillary licences for the sale of liquor by the Licensing Control Commission. The licences have been granted to the Mayfield Golf Club, the Zingari Rugby Football Club (Timaru), the Star Rugby Football Club, the Bumside-West-Christ-church University Cricket Club, the Akaroa Golf Club, the St Albans Cricket Club, the Hawarden Golf Club, and the Rangiora Bowling Club. An application from the] Merivale Papanui Cricket Club was declined because its lounge facilites were inadequate, and because its proposed extensions were the subject of an appeal to the Town Planning Tribunal. The hours granted were:— Mayfield Golf Club (all year round, between noon and 6.30 p.m. from Monday to Friday, and between noon and 7.30 p.m. on Saturdays,
Sundays and public holidays). Z ngar: Rugby Football : Club (from February 15 to September 30, between 4 p.m. and 7.30 p.m. on Saturdays and public holidays, ' also from October 1 to February 14, between 4 p.m. : and 7.30 p.m.). Star Rugby Football Club (from February 15 to September 30, between 7.30 p.m. , to 9.30 p.m. from Monday to , Thursday, and between 4 , p.m. and 7.30 p.m. on Saturdays and public holidays). Burnside West-Christ-church University Cricket : Club (from October 1 to ! March 31, between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Tuesdays, i Wednesdays and Thursdays, ; and between 4.30 p.m. and 8 > p.m. on Saturdays and public holidays). Hawarden Golf Club (all year round, between noon and 6.30 p.m. from Monday to Friday, and from 10.30 a.m. to 7.30 p.m. on Saturdays, Sundays, and public ( holidays). Additional conditions apply in some of the above cases.
