First-day bonus
People who bought first day tickets for the Davis Cup tie will get a bonus at Wilding Park today — they will see two matches for the price of one. Their first day tickets entitle them to watch the postponed singles match between Onny Parun and Ken Hirai which will start — weather willing — at 11 o’clock this morning. The park gates will be opened at 9.30 a.m.
These ticket holders will also be permitted to watch the subsequent doubles match — the only scheduled match for Saturday in the original programme — but it is probable that they will be asked ,to move to another area before the second match.
“I hope everyone plays the game,” said Mr F. R. Hampton, a CL.T.A. spokesman, last evening.
