PA Rotorua The Pakistani cricket team loses two players and gains 1 one for its game against [Northern Districts at Gisborne todav.
Asif Iqbal, who has acted as captain while Mushtaq Mohammad has nursed a heel injur, and Imran Khan are returning to Australia for the World Series Cricket supertest between the Australian XI and the World XI. Haroon Rashid, the 25-jyear-old right-hand batsman and scorer of two test centuries, is joining the team [after fulfilling W.S.C. comImitments.
He will play against ■Northern Districts, as will 'Sarfraz Nawaz, who was rested for the Young New Zealand game. The Pakistanis have encouraging news about two
of their best batsmen, Mushtaq and [Majid Khan. Mushtaq’s heel has responded well to treatment and he is confident of being fit for the first test at Christchurch starting next briday. Majid’s recovery from a broken cheek-bone has been so good that he gives him self a 50-50 chance of being able to play at Christchurch. Early in the tour there was doubt that he would be able to play at all. The team to play Northern Districts is: Mudassar Nazar. Talaat Ali. Mohsin Khan, Javed Miandad, Haroon Rashid. Wasim Raja. Wasim Bari, Sarfraz Nawaz, Anwar Khan. Iqbal Qasim. and Sikander Bakht. Bari is the probable captain with the second-string wicket-keeper. Asraf Ah, being twelfth man
