The New Zealand under 23 womens cricket team beat a Canterbury XI by 77 runs when ‘ their two-day fixture ended at; Porritt Park yesterday. Canterbury required 195 runs for victory" after it had dis- ‘ missed the national side for 203 in its second innings, Sheryl Gardvne bowling economically and "effectively for fre home team. However. onlv Ann; McKenna and Pru Pa'ersor.: offered much resistance to the New Zealand bowlers and Canterbury was out for 117.
