Fishing class
Nine Pacific Islanders will arrive in Nelson early' next month for New Zealand’s first fishing course designed especially for overseas students. Their four-month course, arranged by the Nelson Polytechnic and the South Pacific Commission, will involve the students in sea and classroom studies. The Nelson Polytechnic has already established itself as New Zealand’s leading training institute for fishermen with its course for fishing cadets.
