FIRM N.Z. SHAREMARKET
The New Zealand sharemarket rose over all in busy’ trading yesterday. Second-line shares showed some falls, but the normally active issues firmed. Firth was steady at the Fletcher offer price, hut sales were larger on news that Fletcher had the minimum number of acceptances to declare the offer unconditional.
