Bombs destroy buses
NZPA Belfast Twenty-five doubled-deck-er buses were destroyed in a bomb attack in a bus depot iin Belfast’s Falls Road. I The bombs were planted on the buses by a gang of three armed men who forced their way in to the bus park and tied up the security staff. After planting the bombs they released the security men and warned them that the bombs had been planted. Forty minutes later the bombs started exploding. Twenty-five buses were destroyed within minutes and a furthei' eight badly [damaged. The total cost of I the destruction is expected to reach well over £IM ($1.7 million) in the largest, bombing raid so far this year. Families in many nearby houses were evacuated while firemen fought the fierce blaze. One fireman was slightly injured.
