Russian girl will stay
PA Canberra The Russian defector, Miss Lillian Gasinskayoy, aged 18, will be allowed to remain in Australia, the Minister of Immigration (Mr Michael MacKellar has announced. She would be given resident’s status in Australia, he said. Her case had been referred for examination to his department’s committee on determination of refugee status. The committee had advised that Miss Gasinskayoy qualified for such status. >
