Conciliation to resume
Conciliation talks for a new award for carpenters will resume on January 24. The talks have been delayed since November because the employers wanted a dispute on the Mangere bridge project in Auckland settled first. However, the employers’ advocate (Mr R. Richards) said from Auckland yesterday that the employers’ assessors would attend the conciliation council set for January' 24 and 25. The conciliator (Mr F. M. Gerbic) asked the parties to attend the council.
