Bus roster dispute over

A dispute between the I Christchurch Transport i Board and the Tramways ! Union over rostering, once cuts in evening services have been made, has been settled. Both parties have accepted a report by an industrial mediator. Mr T. Groves, and the union will j take no additional action.

“The scheduling committee will handle everything. We are very pleased with the compromise reached,” said the union’s president (Mr A. Kahl). The Transport Board’s earlier proposals would have forced drivers to mix shifts during the week, Mr Kahi said.
