Carpenter’s big win
PA Invercargill Mr Murray Popham, an Invercargill carpenter had some good news on Monday. I morning. Mr Popham, who is 20, i won first prize in the “5 Plus 5” New Year Gold Lottery, i After hearing the news on the radio at work he had toi drive home to look for his i winning ticket, and found! another with the wrong num-1 ber before finding the right! one. “I have brought a ticket in each of the $500,000 draws — I don’t bother about the small one,” he said last evening. Another Invercargill man, Mr Alex Stojkovich, was also happy — he won one of the $lOO,OOO prizes.
