The Minister of Overseas/ Trade (Mr Taiboys) will meet!; important officials of the; United States Administration/ in Washington next week as!, multilateral trade negotia-'i tions in Geneva near their 1 end. Mr Taiboys, whose pre-;, vious visit to Washington 1 was in June last year, has,, two main aims on his latest , visit, according to informed ] sources: i.
—To impress on the Americans the importance New Zealand attaches to making agriculture an integral part of the coming international trade agreements; —To emphasise New Zealand’s need for access for its •'airy products to the United States and Europe. Mr Taiboys will spend next Monday and Tuesday in Washington before he goes to Brussels for a meeting with E.E.C. officials. He will then meet Cana dian officials in Ottawa on January 29 and 30. 4
