Schoolboys’ cricket

Canterbury sides performed well on the first day of the South Island primary schoolboys’ cricket tournament at Pollard Park, Blenheim yesterday. Canterbury B beat Marlborough outright while Canterbury A, South Canterbury and North Canterbury all won on the first innings. Many good individual performances were recorded. Scores were:
