Scouts win trophies
Canterbury sea scout troops won several trophies at the seventeenth national scout regatta w’hich ended at Picton during the week-end. About 780 boys from throughout New Zealand attended the two-week regatta, at which many of the honours went to South Isi land troops. The trophy for the best sea-scout troop went to Bluff, a Nelson troop was i second, and the Timaru
[Endeavour troop third. ; The Christchurch Pegasus [troop, whch is based at New : Brighton, won the Silver | Dolphin Trophy for best seamanship. It also came sec ond in the intermediate cut-ter-sailing class, and second in the camp chief’s award for general co-operation and camp behaviour. The Diamond Harbour troop was second in the intermediate Sunburst-sailing class.
