Brigade international camp in Blenheim. Nearly 1200 boys from all : 'parts of New Zealand, and,' some from Australia, the Pacific Islands and Hong Kong are under canvas for J the event at the local A. and I P. Showgrounds. Under the i guidance of an Army cook < from Linton Military Camp, I the band of catering helpers iis providing 1200 meals three'!
times a day with three sittings at each mealtime. The washing up? A group of local women move in and tend to the crockery while the boys clean their own cut-' ’ lery. I The camp is providing a wide range of events to exercise the boys in the brigade’s curricula, and the gold T- : shirted youngsters are having , a taste of Marlborough’s sunshine at its brightest. In four days the camp canteen has had a turnover of $ll,OOO, nearly $5OOO has been withdrawn from the camp bank agency, and soft drink and ice cream consump-. lion has rocketed.
