'PA New Plymouth; One of New Zealand’s best ; known thoroughbred owners and farmers, Mr H. A. (Hughy) I Glasgow, of Turakina. died on 'Thursday after a short illness ■ He was 64. Mr Glasgow, who spent all his [life in Turakina, will be best remembered through the deeds of Fort Hagen, a top staver of his time, which he raced in partnership with Ihe New Plymouth I trainer, M. Smith. Fort Hagen won 15 of his 125' starts and recorded 45 minor placings for $65,895. Always among the favourites with punters. despite his inability to race! handy in a field. Fort Hagen won! five races, including the Rangi-j tikei Cup, on his favourite track,! Awapunl.
