Kindergarten ablaze
The Macfarlane Park Kindergarten in Acheson Road, Shirley, was severely damaged by a fire at midnight! last night. The fire brigade received I about a dozen calls to the fire I at 11.45 p.m. and two en-i gines with 12 firemen and five' hoses attended the blaze I which had a firm hold when they arrived. It was put out at 12.26 j a.m. this morning. A spokes-: man could not say whether; arson was suspected but fire! safety officers are investigat-l ing. '
