New ‘Wings’

Paul McCartney’s Wings, the most popular pop-rock band in the world, has two new members. reports NZPA from

London. McCartney confirmed that guitarist Laurence Juber and drummer Steve Holly were now full-time members of the band, taking its strength to five (Paul and Linda McCart-

ney and Denny Laine are the original members). Juber, a former member of the British National Youth Jazz Orchestra, studied music at London University. He was first introduceed to Wings by

Laine, who saw him play as a backing member during a recently-recorded David Essex television series.

Holly played recently with Elton John on his single, “Ego,” and also appears on the Elton John alburn due to be released iater this year. He is an experienced sessions musician.

According to the British musical weekly “Melody Maker,” the new appointments, which make the band a practical touring unit, indicate that Wings may be planning a British tour in the near future.
