Seeking reaction

On these pages recently an account was published of a Swedish system of whole crop harvesting. The system was brought to the notice .of "The Press” by Mr S. P. Kirchin, an agricultural contractor of Doyleston. He writes to “The Press” saying that since then he has been waiting for some response from the farming community, but there has been none.

“I would have thought that any process allowing many different crops to be harvested 24 hours a day, regardless of weather, and eliminating the need for individuals to buy expensive

harvesting equipment would have brought comment from somebody,” he writes.

“The Press” suggests that interested readers might write to Mr Kirch in direct so that he can decide whether to continue seeking to promote the system. His address is P.O. Box 12, Drain Road, Doyleston.
