PA Auckland A soccer player who lost his temper on the field and broke an opponent’s jaw has been fined $4OO in the Magistrate’s Court in Auckland. Mr J.' B. Bergin. S.M.. told Hafiz Abdul, aged 26 a labourer, that he had shown an extraordinary lack of self-control. The Magistrate said he wondered whether Abdul was fit to be on a football field. He ordered Abdul to pay $lOO of his fine to the complainant and to pay $lO court costs. Sergeant G. J. Crawford said Abdulwas playing for his team against another team on August 26. He had possession of the ball and was dribbling it towards the line when the complainant called out to him to stop because the whistle had been blown.
