N.Z. caravan’s overseas test

Oxford AL in England One of the first production line Oxford AL 150’s : from the CI Munro Otorohanga factory was sent to I England for evaluation by Caravans International, the world-wide caravan company and the CI part of CI ' Munro. It is believed that this is the first time a New Zea-land-built caravan has been sent overseas for full evaluation. CI caravans in England have wooden framed construction and New Zealand was the first of the CI group to break away from traditional manufacturing methods and build their caravans with an all-aluminium frame. The Oxford was subjected to tests laid down by the European Caravan Council and, according to CI Munro design director, Trevor Munro, far exceeded that body’s touring and safety standards.
