Canty batsman does well
PA Gisborne The Wellington mediumpace bowler, Grant .Cederwall, and the Canterbury batsman, George Carnoutos, shared the honours with 63 and 64 runs respectively when their teams met in the Rothman’s under-23 cricket tournament at Gisborne yesterday. Wellington made 203 for nine declared. In reply Canterbury was .122 for three at stumps. Cederwall and Carnoutos were the main exceptions in a day’s cricket played in warm conditions with bowlers generally dominating play. Cederwall hit five fours and two sixes in his innings while Carnoutos hit 11 fours. Kevin White (Norther Dis-
tricts) also batted well, hit- ] ting five fours in his 55 | runs against Auckland. 1 Northern made 163 for nine l declared and Aucland was 92 for sjx al stumps.
